The CCN1 can either be taken either as a reassessment for engineers requiring renewal, or as an initial assessment for engineers new to the gas industry.
In order to operate as a gas engineer you need to be ACS accredited.

The hot water systems and safety course is aimed at experience plumbing and heating operatives who require a qualification in installation, servicing and maintenance of domestic hot water systems.

This programme of gas training, portfolio placement and ACS assessment is for New Entrants looking to access the gas industry.
In partnership with national property services business Liberty, the Liberate Academy can offer a work placement for all students on this course, enabling you to complete the Gas Foundation MLP, accredited by BlueFlame.

In order to operate as a gas engineer you need to be accredited and to become a member of the Gas Safe Register.
Gas Safe status is a requirement for all gas installers in the UK and you’ll not be able to join the Register until you’ve gained the appropriate qualifications.
Once you’ve gained your qualifications you will need to renew some of them every five years to retain your Gas Safe status and stay up to date with the latest regulations.
